This Privacy Policy describes how Āroham ("we", "us", or "our"), developed by Parth Akshay, collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile application ("App") and website at aroham.in ("Site").
By using the App or Site, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Policy.
Account information: When you register, we collect your name and email address. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from Google.
Usage data: We collect anonymised data about how you use the App — such as which modules you visit, quiz scores, and session duration — to improve the product. This is collected via Google Firebase Analytics.
Device information: Basic device identifiers (platform, OS version) may be collected for crash reporting and compatibility purposes.
Contact form: If you submit a message via aroham.in/contact-us, we collect your name, email, and message content.
We use collected information only to operate and improve Āroham — to authenticate your account, sync your bookmarks and quiz history, respond to support requests, and understand how users engage with the app.
We do not use your data for targeted advertising. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for commercial purposes.
Your account data and bookmarks are stored securely on Google Firebase infrastructure, which uses industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit.
Authentication is handled entirely by Firebase Auth. We never store your passwords. If you sign in with Google, your credentials are managed by Google and never transmitted to us.
Āroham uses the following third-party services, each subject to their own privacy policies:
Google Firebase — authentication, database, and analytics (firebase.google.com)
Google Analytics — website usage analytics (policies.google.com/privacy)
Cashfree Payments — payment processing for voluntary donations (cashfree.com/privacy-policy)
Google Sign-In — optional OAuth-based login (policies.google.com/privacy)
Āroham is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at support@aroham.in. We will process such requests within a reasonable time.
You may also revoke Google Sign-In access from your Google account settings at any time.
The Āroham website uses Google Analytics cookies to understand site traffic. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are used. You may opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the App or Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
